Your Lady Panthers went on the road to close out their regular season at Twin Lakes. It was the Lady Indians senior night but the Panthers were the ones celebrating at the end of the match. Pioneer played on of their best matches of the season and were able to sweep Twin Lakes in straight sets. The Lady Panthers won with scores of 25-15, 25-20 and 25-14.
The Panthers had a very balanced attack with nearly all members of the team making contributions. Mackenzie Campbell had a balanced game herself, finishing the night with 5 aces, 5 kills and 5 digs. Haley Gleitz had 25 digs and 4 aces. Mikenna Landis dished out 24 assists and 3 aces in the match. To finish out the offensive attack, Alexis Robinson had 9 kills, Madison Blickenstaff had 5 kills, Olivia Brooke finished with 4 kills and Macee Weisenburger added 3 kills in the match. While Gleitz led the defense, Mackenzie Walker had 13 digs and Cami Stewart had 11 digs.
The Lady Panthers finish the regular season with a record of 24-9. They will now move on to tournament play and begin with Sectionals. This year the Panthers also have the privilege of hosting their Sectional. Sectional 50 will kick off Tuesday night with South Newton and West Central at 7:00pm. The Lady Panthers will not play until the second match on Thursday night and they will take on former MWC foe North White.
