Hailey Of Pioneer Panthers Varsity Shuts Out South Newton. Hailey Cripe shut down South Newton, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Pioneer Panthers Varsity to a 10-0 victory on Saturday.
Cripe led Pioneer Panthers Varsity to victory by driving in four runs. She went 3-for-3 at the plate. Cripe drove in runs on a stolen base in the second and a home run in the fourth.
Pioneer Panthers Varsity opened up scoring in the first inning. Hailey Gotshall doubled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run. Pioneer Panthers Varsity tallied four runs in the second inning. The big inning was thanks to home runs by Haley Gleitz and Cripe.
Cripe got the start for Pioneer Panthers Varsity. She lasted five innings, allowing four hits and zero runs while striking out ten.
Pioneer Panthers Varsity smacked three home runs on the day. Gleitz had a dinger in the second inning. Cripe went yard in the second and fourth innings.
