According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the virus that causes COVID-19 is thought to spread mainly from person to person, mainly through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs, sneezes or talks, and also may be produced when yelling, cheering, singing and spitting. These droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or possibly be inhaled into the lungs. Spread is more likely when people are in close contact with one another (within about six feet).
If spectators are immune-compromised, have elevated health concerns, or display symptoms of COVID-19, please stay home and do not attend athletic events at Pioneer Jr-Sr High School.
In order to reasonably mitigate the risks associated with COVID-19, the athletic department at Pioneer Junior-Senior High School encourages fans attending athletic contests at PJSHS to comply with the following guidelines:
- Please wear face coverings or masks.
- Please sanitize your hands frequently.
- Please practice social distancing.
Failure to follow any of these recommendations may result in your dismissal from any IHSAA or junior high athletic event at Pioneer Jr-Sr High School.
